Vivian Jacobson & Marc Chagall
Vivian Jacobson, our resident expert on Marc Chagall, has spent months thoughtfully crafting scripts for a new lecture series, drawing from the deep well of knowledge she’s gathered over a lifetime of study—and a personal relationship—with the artist.
To bring these lectures to life, Vivian has partnered with Anderson Lovell, a fellow Donald Ross neighbor and recent graduate of the University of New Mexico’s Film and Digital Arts program. Together, they’ve launched what Vivian fondly refers to as “Donald Ross Productions.”
The team filmed a full week of lectures in early July and plans to continue with additional segments at UNC Pembroke. These recordings will be permanently housed in the Vivian and Ralph Jacobson Collections Room at UNC Pembroke, creating a lasting educational resource for students and art lovers alike.
