Cul-de-sac Improvement Guidelines

Have you ever wondered who owns and maintains the cul-de-sacs in our neighborhood—and why some are beautifully landscaped with plants, benches, and decorative features, while others remain bare?

Others had the same questions, so we looked into it and gathered helpful information from the Village of Pinehurst Planning, Development, and Engineering Department. What we learned may be useful if you and your neighbors are interested in enhancing your own cul-de-sac.

If you’d like to improve your cul-de-sac, there is a clear process to follow, and support is available. The DRAA board and our NAC representative are happy to assist—after all, we all share the goal of keeping our neighborhood attractive and welcoming.

Even better, some neighbors are ready to lend a hand with planting, mulching, and other improvements. If you’re interested, don’t hesitate to reach out and get involved!

You will find everything you need to know about how to get started, who to contact as well as Moore County and Village of Pinehurst guidelines in the documents that follow.
